Career

Dr. Oddsson has worked as a privat practicing obstetrician & gynecologist since 2003 parallel to other position like deputy medical director of Health. Currently, dr. Oddsson is the medical director and chief phycisian of the Cancer Detection Clinic.

Besides his interests in OB/GYN, Dr. Oddsson has developed particular interests in issues related to HPV, cervical cancer screening and colposcopy. He frequently attends professional conferences and courses in his speciality, both internationally and in Iceland.

Education

Dr. Oddsson graduated from University of Iceland Medical School in 1989, completed internship in 1991 and residency training in obstetrics & gynecology at St. Olav University Hospital in Trondheim, Norway, in 2003. Dr. Oddsson completed residency training in family medicine in 1998 and holds a master degree in Public Health (MPH) from Universitetet of Tromso in Norway, master degree in Healthcare Administraion (MHA) from University of Minnisota in USA and postgraduate diploma degree in Business Administration from Hariot-Watt University in Edinburgh in Scotland.
